Pure Connie Smith is the thirtieth studio album by American country music artist Connie Smith. The album was released in November 1977 on Monument Records and was produced by Ray Baker. It was Smith’s first album for the Monument label, after leaving Columbia Records earlier in the year. Pure Connie Smith contained ten tracks of new material.

A hypervalent molecule (the phenomenon is sometimes colloquially known as expanded octet) is a molecule that contains one or more main group elements apparently bearing more than eight electrons in their valence shells. Phosphorus pentachloride (PCl5), sulfur hexafluoride (SF6), chlorine trifluoride (ClF3), the chlorite (ClO2−) ion, and the triiodide (I3−) ion are examples of hypervalent molecules. Hypervalent molecules were first formally defined by Jeremy I.
